Our battery production and testing capabilities are available at Zalaegerszeg and Nagykanizsa.
Tungsram produced more than 1 million busbars for EV traction-batteries in 2021.
Tungsram has automated busbar assembling, upgraded Nickel-plating line, and supplementary technologies like ultrasonic welding. The company has a dedicated design team and machinery like high-speed milling, several EDMs, 3D scanning, and 3D printing capacities for prototyping requests. The stamping and sheet-metal shop is equipped with machinery suited to low medium and high volumes as well, with a significant capacity in multi-slide technology.
Our injection moulding shop has machines with clamping force up to 470 tonnes and works with more than 130 different plastic materials. In the Tungsram’s central laboratory our team of technical experts examine the performance of more than 200 thousand battery samples per year under specified environmental conditions, such as: extremely high and low temperatures, specified humidity, blown, and settling sand and dust, salt spray, vibration, and mechanical safety.
